How to Rotate Your Winch Clutch in Seconds – PDX MK4
If you’ve ever cursed through a 25-bolt gearbox teardown just to rotate a winch clutch—this one's for you.
The Ultra Winch PDX MK4 features a unique outer gearbox housing that allows full 360º clutch rotation by simply removing four M6 bolts. No need for disassembly, no gear misalignment, and zero downtime.
Quick Steps:
-
Loosen four M6 bolts
-
Gently slide the housing 5–10mm away from the winch body - no need to fully remove gearbox casing and un-mesh the gears.
-
Rotate to desired clutch handle position (usually 90º counter-clockwise for feet-forward installs)
-
Tighten bolts back down
This means you can switch clutch handle position to suit bull bar or chassis layout in under two minutes—without losing seal integrity or mechanical alignment.
